Ecotourism Network

Do something wild. Do something wonderful.

Support a village and leave your travel dollars behind.

It’s called community-based ecotourism.

Community-based ecotourism provides the traveler with leisure activities in a sensitive and ethical framework that provides unique solutions in three key areas: poverty alleviation through sustainable economic development, environmental preservation, and support of local culture and heritage. Community-based ecotourism is a dynamic endeavor where the local community is the key stakeholder. Community members own and receive direct benefit from the venture.

Please visit the region pages in the top navigation bar or the “posts” section for more information about the organizations and people we support.
