Making a Difference

Kuzuko Lodge was created out of a vision to combine conservation , job creation, and social stewardship. Conservation efforts include a unique partnership with the South African national park system to reintroduce native fauna and rehabilitating the unique regional flora. In an aim to create local jobs, the lodge has partnered with Umzi-wethu, a South African development organization. Umzi-wehu provides job training and placement for South African youth from disadvantaged backgrounds. Kuzuko has hired chefs, waiters and trained field guides from Umzi-wethu. Kuzuko treats all its employees with dignity and respect paying fair wages and providing benefits.
