Making a Difference
Njuyera Island Camp, started in 1996, is owned and operated in partnership with the Anglican Church of Uganda, Diocese of Kigezi. The aim of the camp is to promote economic, social, religious and cultural values in the lake community. All employees are from the surrounding communities. The camp stimulates local economy as area villages are able to earn additional in- come by selling food items and local crafts to Njuyera Island Camp and its visitors.
